Developers have submitted paperwork for zoning to building a four building, mixed-use site at 700 W. Chicago next to the Chicago Tribune printing plant.
A joint venture between Tribune Media and Riverside Investment & Development plans four new towers to be designed by Goettsch Partners, as first reported by Curbed.
The phased redevelopment would include three office towers and one residential tower. The first building, an office tower on the eastern side of the site, could be delivered as early as 2019. The building would be no higher than 220 feet and offer 435,000-square-feet of loft-style offices. The residential high-rise would hold about 300 residences.
