More than 150 commercial real estate professionals crowded into Cleveland’s Windows on The River June 27 for the Cleveland Commercial Real Estate Summit held by REjournals.com and Midwest Real Estate News. The mood in the building? Optimistic.
That’s because there is much to be excited about when it comes to Cleveland’s commercial real estate market. The industrial and multifamily markets remain hot, with renters still wanting to move into downtown Cleveland and companies looking for distribution space close to the center of the city.
But while multifamily and industrial remain the stars here, the healthcare and office sectors remain strong, too. Health providers continue to build freestanding clinics and emergency treatment centers closer to their patients. And a growing number of employers are seeking office space in Cleveland’s central business district.
Even the retail sector, which faces challenges across the country, is seeing some success in the Cleveland area as innovative retailers continue to evolve to meet the changing demands of consumers.
To sum it up? The summit was a positive one, and the future looks bright for Cleveland’s CRE market.
