Aries Capital announced that Rushi Shah, senior vice president, from the firm’s Chicago office will be a featured speaker at the 8th annual Asian American Group Leaders (AAGL) Corporate Leadership Conference to be held at Motorola Solutions in Schaumburg, Illinois on Thursday, October 30, 2014. This year’s conference theme is “The Emerging Asian Leader: Profiling the New Generation of Asian Leaders.” Shah will offer advice on developing “Your 60-second Elevator Pitch” in one of three break-out sessions offered.
AAGL consists of a consortium of over 30 corporate Asian affinity groups and is facilitated by The National Association of Asian American Professional’s (NAAAP) Chicago Chapter. NAAAP-Chicago is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3), Pan-Asian American professional organization that promotes career advancement and leadership development in all fields through networking, respecting Asian multi-culturalism, and supporting diversity and community service. NAAAP currently has 27 chapters across the United States and Canada.
“A growing number of Asian American leaders are taking the stage and it’s a trend that is expected to continue through the coming years as more second generation immigrants progress through their careers,” said Shah. “Much like our predecessors, a large number of this contingent has an eye toward entrepreneurship; however, this time, the group is backed by higher education from top colleges and universities throughout the states, and more professional experience in leading organizations throughout the U.S. It’s an exciting time for us professionally and culturally.”
“We deeply appreciate Rushi’s time and contribution to AAGL’s 8th annual Corporate Leadership conference. He is an example of an Asian working hard to achieve American dreams and giving back to communities. His entrepreneurial spirit, professionalism, and expertise will benefit all conference participants,” commented Rose Olea, Chairwoman of the National Board of Directors and also Chicago Chapter Past-President of NAAAP.
