CarrBaierCrandall (CBC) Real Estate Group has been named by the City of Joplin as the project manager for the new public library to be located at 20th Street and Connecticut Avenue. The project is being funded by a grant from the Economic Development Administration with matching funds from the City of Joplin.
The CBC team, led by Bill Crandall, Jason Glasrud and Michelle Kaiser, will oversee all aspects of project management for the library on behalf of the City of Joplin. The CBC team will help city and library leaders manage the design and construction phases of the library project and will also help synchronize efforts with the adjacent commercial development underway with the city’s master developer, Wallace Bajjali.
The planning, design and construction of the library should take 18 to 24 months. Multiple community input meetings will be scheduled as the program moves forward. Design work will begin in late August when the development team meets with city staff to secure an architect to initiate conceptual designs and cost estimates.
