CBRE adds Cordell, Houze to its investor services leasing team in Chicago

Jon Cordell has been named executive vice president and Jason Houze first vice president for CBRE in its investor services leasing group. The pair will focus on significant office leasing projects in the downtown Chicago office market. Both join CBRE from Newmark Knight Frank.

Cordell brings more than sixteen years of experience to CBRE, with previous positions at Tishman Speyer and the John Buck Company. He has worked on several large-scale office leasing projects in Chicago, including launching 151 N. Franklin, redeveloping 333 S. Wabash, 155 N. Wacker, 625 W. Adams and 161 N. Clark.

“As the Chicago office market continues its incredible run, we are excited to join CBRE’s industry-leading platform that will position us to capture a larger share of new opportunities,” said Cordell. “Our ownership approach combined with deep resources will allow us to grow personally and professionally, and, most importantly, enable us to provide unmatched service to clients.”

Houze has more than seven years of commercial real estate experience, beginning his career at JLL in its national investor accounts team and downtown agency leasing team. Prior to real estate, Jason worked at major advertising agencies Digitas and Energy BBDO in strategic analytics and business development, respectively.

“The addition of Jon and Jason to our current team will further strengthen CBRE’s position in the market by deepening our ownership’s perspective and experience in leasing complex developments and redevelopments,” said Neil Pendleton, managing director of CBRE Chicago investor services. “Combining Jon and Jason to an amazingly talented existing team will allow CBRE to be well positioned to deliver results for our clients in a way that few others in the market can.”
