CBRE Hotels has completed the sale of the Oak Brook Hills Resort located at 3500 Midwest Road in Oak Brook. The leasehold interest in the adjacent Willow Crest Golf Club was also included in the transaction. The buyer plans to brand the asset with a nationally recognized franchise at a future date.
The 386-room, 12-story Oak Brook Hills Resort includes the Willow Crest Golf Club and nearly 42,500 square feet of meeting space with a 13,432-square-foot Grand Ballroom. In addition, the property features numerous food and beverage options, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a large indoor pool with a lap lane and an outdoor pool. The hotel was constructed in 1987 and has been continually renovated.
Senior Vice President Nate Sahn and Associate Drew Noecker from CBRE Hotels’ Chicago office and Senior Vice President Andy Wimsatt from CBRE Hotels’ Washington D.C. office represented the seller, Diamondrock Oakbrook Tenant LLC, in the transaction.
“The Oak Brook Hills Resort offered new ownership the opportunity to implement their own vision for the asset and capitalize on its strategic location proximate to area corporations and the affluence of Oak Brook and its surrounding communities,” Sahn said.
