Transwestern today is kicking-off CREforge, a first-of-its-kind hackathon that seeks to identify and leverage synergies between Chicago’s burgeoning tech and real estate communities through the development of new tools and technologies designed to foster innovation in the commercial real estate industry.
The three-day event will take place Aug. 26 through Aug. 28 at Transwestern’s Midwest Headquarters, 200 W. Madison St.
Four companies will be paired – each with its own unique challenge – with a pool of dozens of developers and programmers who will form teams and work collaboratively to come up with creative solutions for each business.
Corporate partners ConneXion, Heitman Architects, Leopardo Cos., and Transwestern will present challenges for developers and programmers to solve. CREforge will also include social events; live product demonstrations that showcase the latest in virtual reality, 3D printing, software and more; and presentations by industry experts.
