Construction is underway for the site of the new Aurora Public Library. When it opens in Spring 2015, it will be known as The Richard and Gina Santori Public Library of Aurora. Cordogan Clark & Associates provided comprehensive Architectural and Engineering services for the library. R. C. Wegman is its General Contractor.
The new 92,000 sf $28 m library is sustainably designed to reduce waste, conserve energy and water, and to lower operating costs, and will be LEED certified. It will serve Aurora residents, students and business community. It will also serve as the hub of a digital library network whose integrated technology systems will enhance capabilities of the current Eola Road and West Branch libraries; school libraries through throughout the city, as well as two satellite facilities.
