The Auction Services Group will be conducting the auction of 3601 Chicago Road, Steger, on Aug. 22. The auction will be held at the Hyatt Lisle Hotel 1400 Corporetum Drive (I-88 at Route 30), Lisle, at 2 p.m.
The property will be sold without reserve subject to a minimum bid of $450,000, which translates to a minimum bid of $4 per square foot.
“The auction will allow users and investors a unique opportunity to name their price for this well-located manufacturing warehouse facility. Given the current turnaround in the economy these desirable facilities are in demand. The eventual high bidder will be purchasing the property at a fraction of its replacement value,” said Kelly Frank, executive vice president of the Auction Services Group. “This well-located facility is conveniently located minutes away from I-394 and I-57 within a short drive from I-294, I-94 and I-80 with access to the whole Midwest transportation system.”
The following is a brief description of the property being offered at the Aug. 22 auction:
3601 Chicago road, Steger, is a one-story precast manufacturing and warehouse building that includes a 20,000-square-foot metal curtain addition in 1986. The property is situated on a 4.8 acre landsite. The building contains approximately 6,300 square feet of offices and provides ample off street parking. The property also adjoins the Union Pacific Railway.
There is 18- to 20- foot ceiling clearance and eight exterior docks plus one interior recessed dock. The building is 35 miles to downtown Chicago and 25 minutes south of Midway Airport.
The final Inspection date and time to view the property is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Aug. 16.
