Fifield Cos. hires Pitsor, Sandhu and Schneider

Chicago-based developer Fifield Cos. announced three new hires to support the firm’s continued growth in Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas and other key cities. Industry veterans joining the firm include Jon Schneider as vice president of asset management, Navi Sandhu as an assistant vice president in acquisitions, finance and development and Joe Pitsor as an associate responsible for underwriting developments and acquisitions.

“These strategic hires bring to Fifield decades of multifamily asset management and development expertise, and I’m thrilled to leverage their experience as we pursue exceptional development opportunities nationwide,” said Steve Fifield, chairman of Fifield Cos. “We see an abundance of opportunities to create exciting living environments in growth cities across the country, and these seasoned professionals will be key to making that happen.”

Schneider joins Fifield from GEM Realty Capital, a Chicago-based private equity real estate investment firm, where he served as a vice president of asset management. He will be responsible for creating and implementing asset-specific business plan strategies and driving the financial performance of the firm’s multifamily assets in Chicago and Dallas.

During Schneider’s nine-year tenure with GEM, he oversaw a national portfolio of multifamily assets that included approximately 1,000 newly constructed apartment units as well as approximately 3,500 value-add apartment units. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Augustana College.

As assistant vice president on Fifield’s acquisitions, finance and development team, Sandhu will be responsible for underwriting multifamily development projects and working on debt and equity financing. Prior to joining Fifield, she was a senior associate at Wrightwood Financial, where she worked on underwriting and analysis of development platforms nationwide in order to provide growth capital. Sandhu was also an analyst on the office investment sales team at HFF and worked on the disposition of $650 million of office assets throughout the Chicago area.

Sandhu holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree from Fordham University. She is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and the Kellogg Real Estate Alumni Club.

Pitsor has joined Fifield as an associate and will be responsible for underwriting multifamily developments and acquisitions. Previously, he worked in the real estate advisory practice of PwC, advising real estate private equity clients on office, retail and industrial acquisitions. He earned a bachelor’s degree in real estate from DePaul University and is a licensed CPA.
