Industry veteran and one of the foremost experts in food, ingredient, and nutrition occupiers, Jeffrey Counsell, has merged the company he co-founded, Global Food Properties, with Cresa. He joins the Chicago-based firm as a principal.
With Counsell’s addition, Cresa becomes the only commercial real estate firm with a dedicated food, ingredient, and nutrition manufacturing and R&D practice group.
A well-respected advisor to the industry, Counsell co-founded Global Food Properties in 2015 following stints at CBRE and Trammell Crow Company. During his career he has executed over 200 transactions valued at over $650 million. His clients include many of the largest branded and private-label manufacturers, across frozen, refrigerated, and shelf-stable categories. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned a JD from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
Joining Counsell at Cresa is Global Food Properties’ Adam Ratajski who becomes a Vice President. He will be responsible for tracking data and market availability, business development, and deal execution. He was previously an Associate with CBRE’s Food Facilities Group. Mr. Ratajski is a graduate of DePaul University.
