One of downtown Chicago’s most-visible office buildings has a new owner.
LaSalle Investment Management has purchased 101 North Wacker Drive in Chicago from Hines Interests L.P. LaSalle made the purchase for its client Bayerische Arzteversorgung, one of the 12 pension institutions of BVK.
The 24-story 101 North Wacker sits in Chicago’s busy West Loop neighborhood at the intersection of Wacker Drive and Washington Street.
The nearly 600,000-square-foot building recently received a renovation costing $12 million. The renovations included an updated lobby, the addition of a floor-to-ceiling glass curtain wall system and a fitness center.
101 North Wacker is 90-percent leased to tenants including TTX Company, Conversant, YMCA and Segal Company. JLL will serve as the building’s leasing agent, while Hines will continue to provide property management.
