FGM Architects has hired 25-year veteran Lynne Sorkin, AIA, LEED AP as a principal. Based in the firm’s Chicago office, Sorkin will work on the firm’s PK-12 school design team.
Prior to joining FGM, Sorkin was education practice leader at bKL Architecture where she oversaw the GEMS World Academy campus design. In addition to traditional services for clients’ architectural and interior design projects, she has also provided design leadership as an ower’s representative on multi-building new construction initiatives for Chicago Public Schools’ capital improvement program.
Sorkin was educated at Washington University in St. Louis. An active member of AIA Chicago, she currently co-chairs the education knowledge community.
