The historic Dearborn Inn in Dearborn, Michigan, designed by Henry Ford and Albert Kahn has undergone a massive renovation and is set to open in early 2025.
The Dearborn Inn was one of the first airport hotels in the country and sat across from Ford’s former airport, now Ford’s Dearborn test track. The site will celebrate 100 years in 2025.
Throughout its history, the Dearborn Inn has welcomed prominent guests like Walt Disney, Bette Davis, President Ronald Raegan and Eleanor Roosevelt.
As part of the extensive renovation, this historic hotel will re-launch as a part of Marriott Bonvoy’s Autograph Collection, joining the brand’s portfolio of over 320 independent hotels across the globe. Each Autograph Collection hotel is a product of passion and inspired by a clear vision, soul, and story – making The Dearborn Inn a most-fitting addition to one of Marriott’s fastest growing full-service brands.
With a distinct perspective on design and hospitality, the renovation breathes new life into the hotel while honoring its significant and storied past through uniquely immersive moments and guest experiences.
As an anchor in the community, unveiling this hotel will catalyze further storytelling. Ford Motor Company’s archives played a pivotal role in storytelling throughout and will showcase artifacts (think 1930s aviation goggles and Walt Disney’s autograph) in public areas.
