Oxford Hotels & Resorts, LLC, the Chicago-based hotel management affiliate of Oxford Capital Group, LLC, has launched Hotel Audrey at 166 E. Superior Street. Oxford worked closely with the investment firm Fillmore Capital Partners to implement the strategic repositioning of the Mag Mile hotel.
“We, like everyone in the travel and hospitality industry, are experiencing extremely challenging times. As such, it’s particularly gratifying to be able to relaunch such a tremendous property in this environment,” said John W. Rutledge, founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Oxford Hotels & Resorts, LLC and its parent company, Oxford Capital Group, LLC. “The name ‘Audrey’ means ‘noble strength,’ and we felt this was a fitting moniker for a hotel that’s emerging during this crisis. The new incarnation of this asset as Hotel Audrey brings refinement to the guest experience while encouraging uninhibited discovery and spontaneity. This is the kind of energy we know travelers are yearning for after months of isolation.”
Each of the 216 king and double guestrooms and suites includes an executive desk and ergonomic chair, 55-inch flatscreen TV, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, large windows with city views, coffee maker, safe, iron and ironing board. Each suite also includes a separate living area with a sleeper sofa. The hotel’s large, on-site, state-of-the-art fitness center houses a plethora of elliptical, treadmill and other workout machines by Precor, free weights, and other equipment.
“Hotel Audrey’s location is truly central to Chicago–it’s surrounded by numerous dining and entertainment options on Michigan Avenue and the Lakefront, Gold Coast and River North, and it’s at the heart of the Streeterville healthcare district with Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Prentice Women’s Hospital and Lurie’s Children’s Hospital all within steps,” said George Jordan, president of Oxford Hotels & Resorts, LLC. “In addition to everything the city has to offer, the property provides guests with a boutique experience enhanced by the hotel’s spacious accommodations. These are some of the largest guest rooms in the city and we think our guests will be equally as comfortable in the open fitness center and lobby lounge areas.”
All areas of the hotel and high-traffic public areas are sanitized at an increased frequency with approved disinfecting products. The property is following public health recommendations of the EPA and CDC and has adopted an Enhanced Sanitation Protocol.
