Thomas Place Orland Park, a $22 million 80-unit affordable senior apartment community in Orland Park, recently earned two sustainable designations: the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR for Multifamily High Rise and the Enterprise Green Communities Award.
Ryan Companies US, Inc., with its joint-venture development partners Jim Bergman and Providence Life Services, developed Thomas Place.
Thomas Place uses low-VOC paints and finishes and boasts efficient water fixtures and irrigation. The majority of construction waste was recycled during construction.
“Ryan has long been committed to sustainable design and construction,” said Dan Walsh, vice president of development for Ryan’s Great Lakes region.
