Trillium Woods, a $161 million senior-living community, has opened in Plymouth, Minnesota.

The design of the 46-acre Trillium Woods continuing care retirement community is a modern version of prairie style. The community offers 209 independent-living residences and an on-site health center, The Birches at Trillium Woods.

Amenities include a clubhouse, convenience store, postal service, on-site banking, fitness center, library, fireside lounges, spa, barbership and salon, chapel and restaurant-style dining.

LCS and Westminster Capital are the joint-venture partners and owners of Trillium Woods. Rice Fergus Miller designed the facility, while the Weitz Company of Des Moines, Iowa, served as the general contractor.
