The Waters on Mayowood, a new 175-unit senior living community, has opened its doors in Rochester, Minn.
“The Waters on Mayowood is a perfect fit with the progressive character of Rochester,” said Bruce Rohde, director of community operations, in a written statement. “It was designed to aesthetically enhance the natural beauty of the surrounding area and to offer hospitality and care for seniors, close to family and excellent medical facilities.”
The Waters has one of the highest nurse-to-resident ratios in the industry, with 24/7 registered nursing on site for Senior Living with Services, Enhanced and Memory Care.
The Waters on Mayowood sits on the former entrance to the farming estate of Dr. Charles and Edith Mayo. With views of the Zumbro River, the private-pay community has two concierge service buildings.
For those not needing nursing care, there are luxury units with spacious kitchens, granite counters and stainless steel appliances designed for Independent Living. (Over 65 percent of these 71 apartments are pre-leased.) This joins a second residence of 70 Senior Living with Services, 20 Memory Care and 14 Enhanced Care apartments.
The Waters on Mayowood is developed, owned and operated by Twin Cities-based The Waters Senior Living, LLC in partnership with lead developer Jeff Brown Sr. of Rochester-based Jeff Brown Real Estate.
