Ron Clark Construction, CrossRoads Church, Dakota County CDA and the City of Inver Grove Heights on Oct. 13 held a ground-breaking ceremony to celebrate the construction start of Babcock Crossing Apartments at Babcock Trail and Upper 55th in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota.
The gathering was held on the construction site where guests heard comments from Pastor Dan Schauer with CrossRoads Church, Dakota County Commissioner Joe Atkins, Mike Waldo with Ron Clark Construction and City of Inver Grove Heights councilmember John Murphy.
When finished, Babcock Crossing will be a workforce housing rental community that consists of 49 apartments. The development will feature a community room, fitness center, automated package delivery system, picnic/grilling area and outdoor playground.
One-, two- and three-bedroom apartments will offer washer/dryers, spacious floorplans and underground garages. The community is scheduled to open next fall with leasing to begin in the summer of 2022.
Funding for this project was made available through Dakota County CDA.
