National developer Portman announced that Toastique, a Washington, D.C.-based gourmet toast and juice bar, will open its first Tennessee location at Starling, the 363-unit luxury residential tower in Nashville’s Germantown neighborhood.
Toastique will be located within the tower’s 17,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space fronting the Cumberland River Greenway. Starling is expected to deliver in the second quarter of 2024.
Founded in Washington, D.C. in 2018, Toastique boasts a menu including gourmet toast, smoothies & smoothie bowls, cold-pressed juice and craft coffee. Toastique guests can expect quick breakfast bites and leisurely lunches, including distinctive combinations like the Tuscan Tuna Toast and Black Mystique Acai Bowl. Toastique’s space will encompass 1,600 square feet and feature an outdoor patio. It will open when the project delivers in 2024.
Formerly known as Ballpark Village, Portman broke ground on Starling in March of 2022. The development includes an expansion of the Cumberland River Greenway to directly connect pedestrians with the retail space located along the ground floor. In addition, Starling’s rooftop pool and amenity deck will overlook First Horizon Park, the home of the Nashville Sounds.
In addition to Starling, Portman is applying its experience with experiential mixed-use development to two other urban infill projects in Nashville: The Moore Building and Eleven North.
Recently delivered, The Moore Building is a 16-story Class-A office building with 236,000 square feet of office space and 8,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space in the heart of Nashville’s iconic Music Row district. The building features a sky lobby on the 8th floor, leading to an 11,000-square-foot amenity deck boasting sprawling views of Midtown and Vanderbilt University.
Eleven North, a 10-acre apartment campus in The Gulch, is being redeveloped into a connected mixed-use destination with the addition of three mid-rise residential and office buildings. Located adjacent to Asurion’s HQ campus and Amazon’s new towers, the project will provide a critical link between the North Gulch and mid-Gulch districts. With direct access to the Gulch Greenway trail, Eleven North will create new paths for seamless pedestrian connectivity to the Gulch neighborhoods.
