The city of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, recently held the grand-opening celebration of its Fire Station No. 2, a 9,750-square-foot facility to house emergency services, administrative personnel and equipment for the city.
The city held a ribbon-cutting and grand-opening ceremony June 7 with city residents and project partners to commemorate the new station.
Fire Station No. 2 will improve response time on the north side of the city and provide additional support for all residents in Mt. Juliet. The building includes administrative offices, a day room, individual sleeping units with shared restrooms, three apparatus bays and additional support spaces. The facility also houses a communications room that doubles as a storm shelter to be used as needed in the event of an emergency.
Wold Architects and Engineers, a local leader in government architecture and the project’s architect, provided professional design services for the new fire station, including a site survey, civil and structural engineering, and architectural and interior design from conceptual design through construction documents with both drawings and specifications.
