Brinkmann Constructors, in partnership with Erickson Senior Living, completed construction of a five-story residential building at the Tallgrass Creek Senior Living campus in Overland Park, Kansas.
This 128,000-square-foot building sits atop podium parking and features 10,000 square feet of community space with multiple amenities, including a catering room, games room, social living areas and a two-story community room complete with a stage, audiovisual capabilities and folding partitions.
The building integrates with the existing campus through a third-story bridge to Building 2.2 and a ground-level connection to Building 1.3, enhancing campus mobility. Construction efficiency was achieved through panelized wall systems rather than traditional stick framing, allowing the team to complete structural framing ahead of schedule.
