Skender, alongside project and trade partners, celebrated the topping out of Ardalan Plaza, marking a major milestone in the construction of the $19 million, three-story, mixed-use development in Carmel, Indiana’s, Arts & Design District.
Located at 331 W. Main St., on the north half of the block between 3rd Avenue SW and 4th Avenue SW, Ardalan Plaza will encompass 8,000 square feet of retail and gallery space on the first floor, four luxury condominiums on the second floor and a private residence with a rooftop terrace spanning the third floor.
Designed to evoke the elegance of an Italian villa, the building will feature decorative columns, cornices and balustrades. A new alley is planned, providing increased access to the property and further enhancing its functionality. As an architecturally significant cornerstone to Carmel’s Arts & Design District, Ardalan Plaza will welcome visitors arriving from the west as they pass the iconic fountain located at the roundabout on West Main Street and 4th Avenue SW.
“The topping out of this monumental project is an incredible milestone for all of our trade partners, our project team, and the many stakeholders who have contributed to the success of this project” said Skender Senior Vice President Brian Simons. “Once completed, Ardalan Plaza will bring continued economic growth to the city.”
The project is a collaboration between the Carmel Redevelopment Commission and the Ardalan family, supported by Skender Construction, Studio M Architecture and Planning, Civil & Environmental Consultants, and KBSO Consulting Engineers.
The project is expected to be completed in 2026.
