Hallsville School District in Hallsville, Missouri, has broken ground on the next phase of its long-range Comprehensive School Improvement Plan with S. M. Wilson as the Construction Manager at Risk.
The project includes a new multi-purpose turf baseball field at Hallsville High School, concessions building renovations, parking lot expansion and construction of new secured entries. Also included in the project is a two classroom addition to the first-grade classroom wing that will feature modern educational amenities. The project team will install security doors and renovate the main entrances at the intermediate, middle and high schools.
This is the third bond-issue program that S. M. Wilson has led for the district. Past projects include the $10 million Proposition B middle school storm shelter addition and athletic upgrades in 2024 and the 31,000-square-foot Hallsville Primary School gymnasium and classroom additions in 2020. The project is scheduled to be completed this year. The architect is Klingner & Associates, P.C. The new $5.5 million project is funded through refinancing the district’s 2018 bond series and the Proposition 2 bond program, which was overwhelmingly approved by voters in November 2025.
