Oak Brook’s Cullinan Properties names EVP of development and construction

Oak Brook, Illinois-based Cullinan Properties hired Dan Jutzi as Executive Vice President of Development and Construction. 

In his new role, Jutzi will provide strategic leadership for Cullinan Properties’ Development and Construction Department, oversee third-party construction resources, and direct all construction activities across the company’s existing portfolio as well as current and future development projects.

Jutzi brings more than 20 years of experience leading large-scale retail development, redevelopment, and tenant construction projects throughout the Midwest. Most recently, he served as Senior Director of Construction Management at Transformco Properties, where he was responsible for all phases of construction and development projects, including design, budgeting, scheduling, execution, financial performance, forecasting, and change management. He also partnered closely with leasing and legal teams to support business development initiatives.

Prior to Transformco, Jutzi spent 13 years with Brixmor Property Group, where he most recently served as Vice President of Construction. In that role, he directed development, redevelopment, and tenant construction activities across 85 retail shopping centers totaling approximately 16.7 million square feet throughout the Midwest. He led a team of 11 construction professionals and managed project budgets, schedules, quality standards, financial reporting, and corporate construction policies. In 2024 alone, he oversaw eight major projects in development with construction budgets exceeding $111 million as a part of a total portfolio construction budget valued at more than $220 million.
