Byline Bank’s Commercial Real Estate Group provided a $17.5 million term loan to The Schirm Firm to finance the acquisition of Trotters Park, a multifamily property at 720 Michigan Ave. in Columbus, Ohio.
The financing marks the fourth transaction between Byline Bank and The Schirm Firm, a fourth-generation, family-owned real estate company. The acquisition expands the sponsor’s national real estate footprint and continues a long-time lending relationship between the two organizations.
The property is centrally located in an infill pocket between downtown Columbus and The Ohio State University. A citywide walking and bike trail borders the property, providing a direct link between downtown, the university, and some of the most popular destinations in the city.
