International coworking company, Offix, has opened its very first U.S. office at Catalyst Lofts, located at 917 W. 18th Street in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood. Chad Schroedl and Adam Thomas of SVN Chicago Commercial represented the landlord in the 6,394-square-foot lease, while Leibel Moscowitz of Vandon Forbes Real Estate represented the tenant.

“We chose to open the first branch in this building after exploring dozens of other buildings. We saw significant benefits from both the location in the heart of a developing neighborhood with proximity to transport hubs and the quality and level of construction of the building that allows us to create a perfect workspace for our clients,” said Offix owner, Lior David. “Our idea has already proven itself in Europe. I’m sure our services will bring a significant advantage here that doesn’t exist and we can quickly expand to more locations in Chicago and the U.S.”

Offix helps to create strong communities by encouraging organic conversations throughout the office. Besides flexible workspace and private offices, members will also find meeting rooms, business lobbies, a fully equipped kitchen and event lounge. Exchange of ideas is actively encouraged in the community at regular networking events, workshops, presentations and more.

“Offix USA is a great addition to Catalyst Lofts, they will serve as an excellent resource to the business community in our area for years to come,” said John Pagone, managing prinicipal of Villa Capital.
