Marcus & Millichap recently closed on two separate mixed-use property sales in Chicago. One, located in the city’s Wicker Park neighborhood, went from contract to close in 71 days and sold for $1,175,000. The other, located in Rogers Park, sold for $6,200,000.
Austin Weisenbeck, senior vice president investments, and Sean R. Sharko, senior vice president investments, in Marcus & Millichap’s Chicago Oak Brook office, exclusively marketed 1909 W. Division Street on behalf of the seller. The 5,200-square-foot building is comprised of one retail unit and two apartment units.
C. Parker Bell and Kyle A. Stengle, multifamily investment specialists in Marcus & Millichap’s Chicago Downtown office, had the exclusive listing to market 1364 W. Estes Avenue on behalf of the seller and also sourced the buyer. The property consists of 40 one-bedroom/one-bathroom units, three two-bedroom/one-bathroom units and six commercial spaces. The building is near Loyola University and is a short walk to the beach.
“The size and desirable location of this property led to a high level of interest and multiple competing offers,” said Bell.
