Renovations at Huntington Center, a 1-million-square-foot, 37-story office tower in downtown Columbus, Ohio, have wrapped. The office buildng, developed by international real estate firm Hines in 1984, received $16 million of repositioning and renovation work.
The common areas of the building, originally designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, have been renovated to feature several new amenities. This includes a two-story, 2,400-square-foot green living wall covered in 8,500 plants. The wall also contains 350 gallons of water.
The lobby also features a new concierge console constructed by local artist and metal sculptor Mark Lagergren.
The 36th floor has been converted to an amenity space dubbed The Horizon. The 4,000-square-foot lounge area includes a bar and four flexible conference rooms. Outside this space is a rooftop terrace with resort-style seating and views of downtown Columbus.
Additional renovations include the replacement of five escalators and 29 elevator cars.
