Tony Phelps recently joined the Minneapolis office of Opus Development Company as a senior director of real estate development.
Phelps is responsible for pursuing industrial development opportunities in Minneapolis and the Midwest region. He has 12 years of commercial real estate industry experience in the Twin Cities market, and previously held director positions at Mortenson Development, Inc.; Opus Northwest, L.L.C.; and Ryan Companies.
“The industrial market is beginning to experience increased growth and Tony’s expertise in leasing, land acquisition and development will allow us to capitalize on these improving market conditions,” said Dave Menke, senior vice president and general manager, Opus Development Corporation. “He is a valuable addition, complementing our team of seasoned industry experts.”
Phelps has served in leadership roles on multiple development and leasing projects in Minnesota and Iowa. “It’s a great opportunity to join Opus Development and return to working with Dave and the leadership team, while pursuing new opportunities in the state and region,” said Phelps.
Phelps earned a bachelor’s degree in finance marketing from University of Denver, and is actively involved in various national and local trade associations and organizations.
