We’ve heard from so many companies that are cutting back across the Midwest, eliminating jobs as they do so. It’s nice, then, to hear from a firm that’s doing the opposite.
Ohio-based Manifold & Phalor — reacting to increasing demand for metal fabricating and machinery rehabilitation services — will expand its facilities in the Ohio community of Canal Winchester, a move that will bring 30 new jobs to this slice of Ohio over the next three years.
Manifold & Phalor will invest $6 million to add more than 60,000 square feet to the company’s existing facility. The 30 new jobs that this expansion brings will be in addition to the 36 jobs now existing at the facility.
In a statement, Tom Creek, president of Manifold & Phalor, said that the U.S. 33 corridor is the right home for his company.
“We’ve been a part of Central Ohio’s business sector for over 35 years, and we are proud to continue providing high-quality solutions for our clients,” Creek said. “Combining our investment with incentives from the state of Ohio, and receiving support from the city of Canal Winchester, is helping us meet our customers’ needs.”
Manifold & Phalor boasts machine installations in more than 30 countries. The company was founded in 1946, and offers engineering systems, glass machinery, contract machining and welding and fabrication, among other services.
With its expansion, Manifold & Phalor will boost its already strong presence in the Canal Pointe Industrial Park.
