United Way of Kenosha County recently signed a lease for a 1,700-square-foot space in the downtown Kenosha, Wis., building that the Kenosha Area Business Alliance acquired last year.

Bryan Albrecht, the United Way board president, said that by the end of May the agency will move from its current space at 3601 30th Ave. to the new location, 5500 Sixth Ave.

As with the location’s previous build-out, Riley Construction is providing construction management services for the renovation, which was designed by Partners in Design of Kenosha.

Relocating the agency’s headquarters, said Albrecht, “is essential to meeting our goal of increasing our commitment and presence to the Kenosha community.”

In its new location, the agency will enjoy greater technological access, as well as access to the KABA training center and conference room that is adjacent to the space that United Way is occupying. Among other activities, the room will be used for United Way board and committee meetings, said Albrecht.
