BPaine/Wetzel TCN Worldwide has completed the sale of a 34,269-square-foot industrial building located at 1501 S. Blue Island in Chicago on behalf of its client, Testa Produce.

Marquez Brothers International Inc. has purchased the property for its first Midwest location. The company, established in 1981 and based San Jose, Calif., is a family owned producer and distributer of authentic Mexican style dairy products, meat items as well as canned and dry goods under the name El Mexicano. Marquez Brothers’ distribution network reaches the United States, Mexico, Canada and Europe. The company is an importer of national leading branded grocery items from Mexico and Central America.

This rare freezer/cooler facility features 22-foot clear ceiling heights and 10 exterior docks. It benefits from a location near major expressways and close proximity to downtown Chicago.

Ed Wabick, principal; Jeffrey Girling, vice president; and Terence Lynch, senior associate of Paine/Wetzel TCN Worldwide worked on behalf of the seller, Testa Produce, in the transaction and the buyer was not represented.
