One Detroit Center reveals new tenants social media plan

The award-winning, Class-A office property located in downtown Detroit and the tallest office building in Michigan, One Detroit Center, revealed its new social media plan to provide followers/fans/connections real-time information on the building, including events, amenities and tenant news. The program, using Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, also aims to strengthen the sense of community among One Detroit Center tenants.

“One Detroit Center has a unique vibe in the city, with a blend of law firms, advertising/public relations agencies, financial services and technology companies combining to create a high energy work hub,” said Greg Camia, lead executive of One Detroit Center and senior vice president of iStar Financial, which is the majority owner of the building. “Using social media to engage with our tenants will be an effective, additional form of communication and is consistent with the approach other iconic buildings like the Empire State Building in New York City and The Willis Tower (formerly the Sears Tower) in Chicago are taking from a communications standpoint.”

The social media campaign for tenants follows the January unveiling of One Detroit Center’s new 25 foot LED monument sign, located at the corner of W. Larned and Woodward Ave., and designed to engage tenants, pedestrians and motorists in the excitement and elegance of Detroit’s corporate and cultural scene. One Detroit Center tenants are spotlighted on the monument sign throughout the day, with additional coverage allocated on a fee basis to allow tenants to send targeted messages to the downtown Detroit audience. The monument sign is the only one of its kind for a Michigan multi-tenant office building.
