Wight & Company, a leading Design & Delivery firm, announced that John Clinnin has been promoted to Vice President, Director of Transportation & Infrastructure. In his new role at the firm, Clinnin will actively manage and oversee project staffing levels, overall project budgets and all related activities for Wight’s transportation projects.
“John has more than 28 years of experience in construction management and resident engineering of highways, streets, bridges and railroads,” stated Peter Mesha, PE, LEED AP, Group President of Engineering at Wight. “He has a strong track record of success at Wight, having managed our construction engineering business from its humble start as a subconsultant on a resurfacing project to the large multi-season projects we are winning today as a prime consultant for the Tollway, IDOT, CDOT and others.”
Wight has also expanded its transportation team with the addition of two resident engineers, including:
• Dirk Peterson. Peterson has more than 10 years of experience in construction inspection, materials engineering, and design of highway, street, and bridge projects. In his new role at Wight, he will provide observation and inspection of the construction work and contractor operations to verify that the construction is accomplished in accordance with the plans and specifications. Peterson comes to Wight from Walsh Construction. He earned a BS in Construction Engineering from Purdue University.
• Jeff Kiedaisch, PE. Kiedaisch joins the transportation group at Wight from Cotter Engineering. He has over 20 years of experience in construction inspection, materials engineering, and design of highway, street, and bridge projects. As Resident Engineer, he will also provide observation and inspection of the construction work and contractor operations to verify that the construction is accomplished in accordance with the plans and specifications. He holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
