Mary T. Nicolau joins Much Shelist as Special Counsel in the Real Estate Law practice group.
Mary Nicolau helps her clients reduce real estate tax liabilities and resolve disputes with taxing authorities and other governing entities. She advises real estate companies, developers, banks, investors and other business clients on a variety of real estate matters. She regularly represents clients before local assessors and in hearings before local boards of review, the Property Tax Appeal Board of Illinois, the Illinois Department of Revenue and the Circuit Courts on matters involving real estate tax issues, including exemptions, sales in error, tax sales, specific objections and all related tax issues.
