MB Real Estate has completed a lease for the headquarters of RedShelf at 215 W. Superior in Chicago.
A Chicago-based start-up, RedShelf was founded in 2010 and is focused on delivering eTextbooks more simply and affordably to students. Previously located at 720 N. Franklin, RedShelf is relocating to accommodate its growing operations. The firm will be taking a full-floor at the new location taking them from 1,400 square feet to 5,000 square feet. RedShelf chose to stay in River North due to its proximity to area restaurants, amenities and the growing tech community.
“We’re thrilled with the new office,” said Tim Haitaian, CFO & Co-Founder of RedShelf. “RedShelf is expanding quickly and this space is the perfect new home to scale with us as we grow. It’s clean and open, perfect for encouraging the kind of creative, collaborative atmosphere we want for our company. Being surrounded by like-minded startups in River North is similarly energizing. We’re really excited and couldn’t be happier.”
Christine Torres, associate of MB Real Estate’s Corporate Services and Tenant Advisory group, represented RedShelf in the site selection and lease negotiations. Building ownership, River North Management, was self-represented by Randy Lipps.
