Transwestern has promoted Tenant Advisory Services team member Larry Serota, LEED® AP, to executive vice president and appointed him to the firm’s Board of Directors. Based in the Chicago office, Serota becomes the firm’s youngest professional to hold the executive vice president title and serve on the board.

“We always are pleased to recognize the achievements of our team members, but there is something special about Larry reaching this level of success so early in his career,” said Mike Watts, president of Transwestern’s Midwest region. “From the onset, he demonstrated the drive and determination necessary to succeed in a competitive industry, and this has benefited his clients and colleagues. Larry signals to the next generation that promotions are not wait-and-see, but go-and-grab.”

During his nine-year tenure with Transwestern, Serota has served corporate clients throughout the United States and developed expertise and insight that set him apart from his peers. He was an early proponent of applying the principles and benefits of sustainable initiatives to the occupier space and strives to incorporate energy efficiency solutions into every real estate assignment. His efforts to drive unexpected value for clients have placed him among Transwestern’s top producers nationally and earned him the company’s National Excellence in Sustainability Award.

Since 2013, Serota has served on Transwestern’s Tenant Advisory Council, a 12-person national steering committee that works closely with executive management to develop innovation strategies and multi-market business opportunities. His leadership also extends to civic and community service. Serota currently serves as chairman of the Chicago Children’s Museum’s Metropolitan Board and is a Leadership Greater Chicago Fellow Class of 2013.
