Cicero’s Development Corp. has now finished its fifth renovation project for one of Chicago’s leading beauty salons, Frank Gironda Salon & Day Spa.
Just three months prior to the salon’s completion, three empty retail spaces filled the property.
Sam Cicero, Jr., Cicero’s president, oversaw the renovation’s progress.
“Our team seamlessly brought the three existing outlets together into one coherent space where we installed all new plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems to help make Frank Gironda stand out in a competitive market,” Cicero said.
The County of DuPage, where the new spa is located, stated that it needed more fresh air changes per hour, resulting in costs skyrocketing more than twice the original HVAC budget. Although this situation likely would trip up a less experienced contractor, Cicero’s was quickly able to resolve it by bringing in a trusted relationship from their wide stable of sub-contractors. With Cicero’s help and close relationships, the price of the new HVAC system was significantly lowered, keeping the overall project within budget and time frame.
Cicero’s previous projects for the business, according to Frank Gironda Salon & Day Spa manager, Chris Damolaris, included:
- The addition of 2,100 square feet to the Wheaton Salon in the Western suburbs,
- The opening of their new salon in south Naperville, and deconstruction of a 3,200-square-foot space,
- A remodel of the Wheaton location,
- And an expansion of the Color Room at the Wheatland Marketplace Salon in Naperville.
