Scheduled to open in March 2017 along Lincoln, Belmont and Ashland avenues in Lakeview, the new Whole Foods flagship store will be the chain’s second-largest property in Chicago.

That’s perhaps why the developer–a joint venture of Novak Construction–is already seeking a buyer to fork over good money for the property at 3201 N. Ashland Ave. The store is reportedly expected to sell between $65 million to $70 million, according to Crain’s.

The two-story building is said to include a 6,500-square-foot glass lobby on the ground floor, a 66,000-square-foot grocery store on the second floor, and 295 parking spaces below ground and on the first floor.

Grocery stores are the latest and hottest commodities lately in the city, namely the Mariano’s Fresh Markets, which continue to garner major interest from buyers.

The latest Lakeview grocery deal occurred earlier in June, when DDR agreed to pay $80 million for a Mariano’s-anchored retail center at 3030 N. Broadway.
