Tishman Speyer yesterday announced that two tenants have just signed new leases and renewals totaling nearly 143,000 square feet of office space at the CME Center in Chicago’s West Loop.
Reed Smith, one of the nation’s largest law firms, has signed a 10-year 109,412-square-foot lease renewal at 10 S. Wacker. The new lease, which begins in March of 2020, encompasses floors 37 through 40, with the option to expand by another floor. Phil Leibow, Bill Rogers and Jeff Liljeberg of JLL represented Reed Smith in the transaction, while Tishman Speyer’s Joe Gordon and Justin Lewis represented ownership in-house.
Tishman Speyer also announced that Lendlease Americas, a global property company specializing in project management, construction, real estate investment and development, has signed a direct lease for 33,383 square feet, comprising the entire 24th floor and a portion of the 25th floor of the building. The new lease will commence in August of 2017. Steve Bauer and Aaron Schuster of Cushman & Wakefield represented Lendlease in the transaction, while Tishman Speyer’s Gordon and Lewis represented ownership in-house.
