Colliers International | Chicago’s Chris Volkert represented Georgia Nut Company, manufacturers of nuts and candy since 1945, in its 123,000-square-foot renewal at 7500 Linder Avenue in Skokie, Illinois.
Less than a mile from the Touhy/I-94 interchange, the industrial food processing facility features eight docks and 23-foot clear ceiling height. In addition, there is 9,000 square feet of office space and a retail store.
“The unique, existing ‘food’ infrastructure, access to distribution channels and a significant customer base, made this an easy decision,” said Volkert.
Colliers’ Ned Frank and Pat Hake represented the owner, LINK, in the transaction. The renewal also allowed Georgia Nut to secure significant tenant improvements for its operations.
