Copaken Brooks is welcoming Academy Bank to its new corporate headquarters location at 1201 Walnut in Kansas City, Missouri.
Academy Bank’s new space encompasses about 50,000 square feet across 1201 Walnut’s 10th, 11th and 12th floors, including a new first-floor bank branch in the building’s lobby.
The family-owned community bank plans to make the move this fall, followed by a branch opening in the 4th quarter.
“This move marks an exciting new venture for Academy Bank, providing us updated office space to support our growth while keeping us in the core of downtown Kansas City, the heartbeat of the region,” said Academy Bank chief executive officer Paul Holewinski. “The opportunities within our new location will allow us to gain efficiencies in how we work and to continue delivering fast, easy and personal service for our loyal clients.”
Ryan Biery, Senior Vice President of Brokerage at Copaken Brooks, represented the landlord in the deal. Bryan Johnson, Principal of Colliers International represented Academy Bank.
Academy Bank additionally occupies a branch on the first floor of Corrigan Station II in the Crossroads Arts District and a branch with drive-thru location at the Hampton Building at Lenexa City Center, properties also managed by Copaken Brooks.
