The Chicago office of Duke Realty has signed a lease with Acer Service Corporation, a repair and service provider for Acer computer products, for an additional 50,570 square feet in its building located at 16508 S. John Lane Crossing in Lockport, Illinois. Acer’s expansion, coming just 16 months after its initial, 166,024-square-foot lease, the 300,494-square-foot building, known as Lockport 16508, is 72 percent occupied.
“We are pleased that we were able to meet Acer’s initial space needs, as well as their additional square footage requirements,” said Susan Bergdoll, Vice President of leasing and development for Duke Realty’s Chicago office. “This building is well-suited for Acer, as well as other companies that need convenient connections to the Chicago metro area, due to its proximity to several major interstates and the BNSF and Union Pacific intermodal yards in Elwood and Joliet.”
Located along I-355, the building is just five miles from I-80 and seven miles from I-55. Lockport 16508 is a modern, first-class logistics facility that was delivered in 2017 and features 32-foot clear height, 54-foot by 50-foot dock bays with 70-foot staging bays, 2,400-amp, 480-volt power, an ESFR sprinkler system and numerous trailer and automobile parking spaces.
