ACKERBERG has acquired a 75,480-square-foot industrial building at 1140 Gervais Avenue, on the northeast quadrant of Interstate 35E and Highway 61 in Maplewood, Minnesota.
The property has 22-foot clear height ceilings and 19 dock doors, making it a highly functional option for a variety of users.
The building is currently 100 percent leased to Second Harvest Heartland and has served as its headquarters for many years. This summer, Second Harvest Heartland will relocate some of its operations to its Brooklyn Center location, creating about 50,000 square feet of available space in the building, of which 4,650 square is built out as cooler space and 6,720 square feet is built out as freezer space.
Dave Stokes and Chris Weirens of Cushman & Wakefield are leasing the space on behalf of ACKERBERG.
Second Harvest Heartland was the seller of the property and was represented by Tim Carlson and Jim Vos with Cresa Partners of Minneapolis.
