Adolfson & Peterson Construction completed a renovation and 106-bed expansion project for Cross Creek Hospital in Austin, Texas. The inpatient behavioral health hospital will operate under a joint venture partnership between Ascension Seton and Acadia Healthcare to help address the region’s critical need for behavioral health services.
The phased construction project encompassed a 96,580-square-foot two-story building addition, increasing the hospital’s total licensed bed count to 196. The project also added therapy and exam rooms, administration rooms, noisy and quiet areas and an outdoor patient courtyard. Renovations reworked 13,350 square feet of the dining hall, kitchen, administrative space, and outpatient area offices to the existing facility. Additionally, AP built new parking areas for the added and renovated area along with an upgrade to the water quality system.
Cross Creek Hospital programs will continue to focus on the health and healing of the whole patient and, importantly, help reduce the stigma that too often prevents people from seeking care, hospital officials said.
Johnson Johnson Crabtree Architects served as the project architect for the renovation.
AP has completed a project for Acadia Healthcare’s Rio Vista Behavioral Health Hospital in El Paso, Texas, as well as two renovation and expansion projects in Arizona – located in Tucson and outside Phoenix. Additional healthcare projects throughout Texas include an emergency room expansion at Methodist Landmark Hospital in northwest San Antonio, ground-up facility in Mesa, Arizona, and multiple Reunion Rehabilitation facilities nationwide, including locations in Arlington and Plano, Texas; Phoenix and Peoria, Arizona; and Inverness, Colorado.
