Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP), a national, family-owned construction management and contracting company, was recently awarded the project to construct CapMetro’s North Base Demand Response Facility and Central Warehouse in Austin, Texas.
The development, located at 10805 Cameron Road in northeast Austin, will include four facilities designed to support CapMetro’s administrative, maintenance, warehousing and workforce training operations. The campus will feature a three-story administrative building with a community room and dedicated training area; a 16-bay maintenance garage; a service island for vehicle washing, cleaning and fueling; and a 20,000-square-foot centralized warehouse with an adjacent training pad for storage, distribution and workforce training.
Construction is scheduled to begin this fall, with completion anticipated in September 2028. WSP, HOK and MWM Design Group serve as project consultants.
AP will bring its experience delivering complex public-sector projects to the development, with a construction approach focused on safety, quality and efficient project delivery. The project expands AP’s growing presence in Central Texas and builds on the company’s longstanding experience partnering with municipalities and public-sector organizations across Texas. The company is currently constructing the East Dallas Government Center for Dallas County, with additional current and past projects including the Rockwall County Jail, Garland Audubon Recreation Center, Stephen G. Terrell Recreation Center in Allen, The Marq for the City of Southlake, multiple facilities for the Town of Little Elm, and the SportsPark Center and Reecey Davis Recreation Center for the City of Greenville.
In Central Texas, AP’s growth portfolio includes two Austin ISD high school projects and the Heritage Oaks Dental Office in Marble Falls, as well as the recently completed Emergency Room expansion at San Antonio’s Methodist Landmark Hospital, UTSA’s Chisolm Hall renovation and Sunrise Commerce Center in Round Rock.
In the Dallas-Fort Worth area, AP is currently working on the new KDFW studio and office facility and Phase II of the Santander Tower conversion in downtown Dallas. Completed projects include an addition and renovation at Park Cities Presbyterian Church in Dallas, the PGA of America headquarters in Frisco, Vari’s global headquarters at VariSpace Coppell, and buildings 17 and 18 at Billingsley Company’s International Business Park in Plano.
