The Association of Industrial Real Estate Brokers (AIRE) will host its Second Annual Virtual Tour of the Chicago Industrial Market  on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the Riverway Auditorium, 6133 N. River Rd. in Rosemont, Ill.

Using state-of-the-art mapping software technology through Google Earth and other video capabilities, AIRE is will develop and produce a 40-45 minute virtual market tour that looks more like a documentary than a guided tour. In this year’s virtual tour, the approximately 110-million-square-foot O’Hare Market is being highlighted, with focused attention on more than 30 specific industrial properties.

For the 2011 Virtual Market Tour AIRE has secured 11 Event Sponsors and four General Sponsors.  The Virtual Tour team includes John Gledhill, CB Richard Ellis; Tom Gledhill, Gledhill Properties; Brendan Green, Colliers International; Mike Nelson, NelsonHill; and Steve Pacholik and Sheri Tantari, The McShane Companies. The committee also used a number of market leaders to ensure the content is informative and current. Those leaders include Tom Rodeno, Colliers International; Sam Durkin and Matt Mulvihill, Grubb & Ellis; Kevin Segerson, Pat McCourt, Chris Zubel and John Suerth, CBRE; and Larry Goldwasser and Jay Maher, NAI Hiffman.

Green and Nelson said the tour will include a review of continuing projects in the market area including the new casino in Des Plaines, the O’Hare modernization program, the East-West bypass and the new runway configuration.

The cost to attend the 2011 AIRE Virtual Market Tour is $25 for members and $35 for non-members. To register, complete the appropriate forms found on the calendar of events page on the AIRE website (www.aire-brokers.com). Pre-event register is available through 10 am on Tuesday, February 8. On-site registration is available.

Registration and check-in for the event begins at 2 pm on Tuesday, February 8. The program in the auditorium begins at 2:30. Following the virtual tour there will be a networking reception at Carlucci’s, within the Riverway complex.
