The Association of Industrial Real Estate Brokers (AIRE) is doing an instant replay and taking a step back in time at its November meeting. Like it did in June it will embrace one of the most significant reasons for its formation: sharing market information. At its regular luncheon meeting on November 8, 2011 at the Rosewood in Rosemont, brokers will be seated according to geographic market to foster the exchange of information.
Those attending the roundtable market discussion will be separated into seven market areas to facilitate discussions and the exchange of information. Markets include O’Hare, I-55/Joliet (I-80), North Market (North Cook and Lake Counties and Southwest Wisconsin), DuPage County, I-88 West, Northwest (from Schaumburg to Kane County) and Chicago.
According to AIRE President Corey Chase, also of Podolsky Northstar CORFAC International, AIRE was built on the idea of exchanging information about the market.
“One of the main purposes of the Meetings was to stay in touch with the market, to know the deals that were being done and the development being planned, whether they were involved or not,” Chase said. “Gathering that market intelligence raised the profile of each individual and the industry as a whole.”
As part of its November meeting, AIRE once again is sponsoring its annual Thanks For Giving food drive. Each year at the November meeting, members and guests are asked to bring non-perishable food items and/or cash for the annual holiday food drive to benefit those less fortunate. Donations of cash and non-perishable items will be given to the Jane Aadams Hull House in Chicago.
“This is a great tradition for AIRE, its members and the people served by the Jane Aadams Hull House,” Corey Chase said. “We hope everyone coming to the meeting will participate and be as generous as they can be to help those in need.”
