Aisin Chemical Indiana, LLC and Aisin Drivetrain, Inc. will expand their operations in Crothersville, Ind., creating up to 74 jobs by 2016.
The companies are suppliers to the automotive and industrial equipment industries.
The companies will invest $45.35 million into the Crothersville operations. Aisin Chemical Indiana plans to build and equip a 100,000-square-foot transmission component plant adjacent to its current facility, doubling its size at the Crothersville Industrial Park. Construction on this plant will begin this year.
Aisin Drivetrain plans to renovate and equip its 350,000-square-foot facility, adding manufacturing volume for a six-speed automatic transmission for the mid- to heavy-duty truck market in 2015. The company plans to produce 20,500 transmissions a year.
